PennyBen is proud to partner with the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, Peter M. Wege Guest House in the Heartside district of Grand Rapids, Mich. The Lodge features free lodging and transportation to and from area cancer treatment centers, and is a "home away from home for adult cancer patients and their care givers."

The Hope Lodge, Peter M. Wege Guest House opened its doors February 3, 2008. In addition to lodging and transportation services, guests partake community meal programs, music programs, yoga, arts and crafts, and a variety of other activities during their stay.

At the end of PennyBen's first year, the group donated $14,400.00 to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, and has a goal of raising an additional $15,600.00 for the organization by May 2010 to reach a total of $30,000.00.
